📋 1. The Information We Collect
Information you give us directly: your name, billing and delivery address, email address, phone number, order details, account information, and the content of any messages you send us (for example, customer support emails or product reviews).
Payment information: payments are processed securely by our payment providers (such as Shopify Payments, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay). We do not see or store your full card details.
Information collected automatically: when you browse the Site, we and our service providers collect device and usage data — such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed and how you interact with the Site — using cookies and similar technologies.
Information from third parties: we may receive information about you from our service providers, such as Shopify (our e-commerce platform), payment processors and delivery couriers, in connection with your orders.
🎯 2. How and Why We Use Your Information
We use your personal information on the following legal bases:
- To perform our contract with you — processing and delivering your orders, taking payment, arranging shipping, and handling returns, refunds and exchanges.
- Our legitimate interests — providing customer support, improving our Site and products, preventing fraud and keeping the Site secure, and understanding how customers use our Site.
- With your consent — sending you marketing emails or texts about our products and offers. You can withdraw consent at any time (see “Marketing” below).
- Legal obligations — keeping records for tax, accounting and regulatory purposes, and responding to lawful requests from authorities.
🍪 3. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to run the Site, remember your basket, analyse how the Site is used and, with your consent where required, support our marketing. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings; blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works. For details of the cookies used by our platform, see Shopify’s cookie information at www.shopify.com/legal/cookies.
🤝 4. Who We Share Your Information With
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us run our business — Shopify (which hosts our store), payment processors, and delivery couriers such as Royal Mail and Evri;
- Marketing and analytics partners, where you have consented or where permitted by law;
- Professional advisers and authorities, where required to comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, or protect our rights and the rights of others;
- A buyer or successor in the event of a merger, sale or restructuring of our business.
All service providers are only permitted to use your information to provide services to us.
🌍 5. International Transfers
Some of our service providers (including Shopify) may process your information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved standard contractual clauses (including the UK International Data Transfer Addendum), so that your information receives an equivalent level of protection.
⏳ 6. How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy — for example, order records are retained for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes (typically six years). When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
✅ 7. Your Rights
Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Erasure — ask us to delete your information in certain circumstances;
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your information in certain circumstances;
- Data portability — receive your information in a structured, machine-readable format;
- Objection — object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time;
- Withdraw consent — where we rely on your consent, withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@peakspurity.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you have the right to complain to the UK’s data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk · 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first, so please contact us before approaching the ICO.
📣 8. Marketing
We only send marketing emails or texts where you have opted in or where otherwise permitted by law. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by clicking it or emailing info@peakspurity.co.uk. Opting out of marketing does not affect service messages about your orders.
🧒 9. Children
Our Site and products are intended for adults and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
🔐 10. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including secure (HTTPS) connections and reputable payment providers. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
